MOLECULAR FUTURES SUMMIT
Featured within IMPPC2027
📍 May 23–27, 2027
📍 Limak Limra Hotel | Antalya, Türkiye
A Davos-Style Executive Forum on the Future of Plant Protection
As agriculture enters an era increasingly shaped by molecular biology, precision biologics, RNA-based technologies, AI-enabled discovery, and next-generation crop protection systems, the future of agriculture is being fundamentally reimagined.
To address this emerging landscape, IMPPC2027 proudly introduces the Molecular Futures Summit, a new executive-level platform designed to explore one of the most important questions facing agriculture:
“What will the future architecture of plant protection look like over the coming decades?”
Unlike conventional scientific sessions or company presentations, the Molecular Futures Summit is envisioned as a high-level strategic discussion platform, bringing together Nobel Laureates, scientific pioneers, senior leadership from global agricultural and biological technology companies, innovators, and industry decision-makers to openly discuss the future of crop protection.
Rather than focusing on regulatory frameworks or highly technical scientific presentations, the Summit is intentionally designed as a big-picture conversation addressing the scientific, industrial, commercial, farmer-centered, environmental, and investment dimensions of emerging agricultural technologies.
Held within the framework of the 3rd International Molecular Plant Protection Congress (IMPPC2027), the Summit will feature two flagship executive discussions focused on some of the most transformative frontiers in modern agriculture.
The Future of RNAi in Plant Protection
Moderator
Prof. Craig C. Mello
2006 Nobel Laureate in Physiology or Medicine
Discovery of RNA interference (RNAi)
Key Discussion Questions
- Will RNAi become a mainstream crop protection technology?
- Sprayable or trait-based RNAi: what will the future look like?
- Can RNAi become affordable and scalable for global agriculture?
- What are the biggest technological barriers still remaining?
- How close are we to real-world farmer adoption?
- What could RNAi mean for sustainability and environmental impact?
- Where are investment, partnerships, and industry heading?
- What might crop protection look like in an RNAi-enabled future?
The Future of Peptides in Plant Protection
Moderator
Prof. Brian Kobilka
2012 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry
Pioneer of GPCR biology and receptor-targeted molecular systems
Key Discussion Questions
- Are peptides becoming the next generation of precision crop protection?
- How different are peptide bioinsecticides from conventional chemistry?
- Can peptides combine efficacy with sustainability?
- What are the biggest challenges for scalability and adoption?
- How close are we to widespread farmer use?
- What role will biologics play in future agriculture?
- Where are investment and innovation heading?
- Could peptides fundamentally change the future of crop protection?
Executive Discussion Format
Each session will feature:
- 1 Nobel Laureate moderator
- 5 invited CEO / executive-level participants
- Live strategic discussion format
- Audience interaction & Q&A
Rather than conventional presentations, the Molecular Futures Summit is designed as a live executive dialogue where scientific discovery, industrial vision, farmer realities, environmental sustainability, investment dynamics, and the future of agriculture converge.
